Winter Walk of Lights at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens
If you're looking for holiday family fun in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, check out the Winter Walk of Lights at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. Located in Vienna, Virginia, this beautiful botanical garden hosts a spectacular holiday walk-through light show every winter evening from early November to early January.
Each year, the gardens are transformed into a winter wonderland, blending the holiday spirit with gardening and wildlife motifs.
The lighted path leads you from the Visitor Center down the hill to Lake Caroline, which shimmers under the sparkling, colorful lights.
See the field of flowers, birds and other garden critters.
Enjoy the Christmas tree light show set to festive music.
Purchase a s'more kit and hot beverage, and gather around the fire pit for a sweet treat at the end of the path.
Purchase your tickets here in advance to avoid the lines. The event is quite popular and often sells out. There are special nights to honor military, first responders, teachers and nurses. The tickets have a timed entry, but do not have a timed exit, so you're free to hang around as long as you like. Sign up for the newsletter to get alerts.
