My favorite cooking herb is basil. So fragrant and versatile. For many years, I've struggled to grow it in my garden, but this year I'm trying harder to make sure it has the right growing conditions. I need many cups full, not just a few leaves, because we LOVE making homemade pesto sauce all summer long. We are eagerly awaiting our newly planted basil plants to grow, grow, grow! Fingers crossed.
