My comments:

Author Kelli Peduzzi and photographer Diane Smook follow sculptor Neil Estern through the complicated process of designing and creating the statues of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his dog, Fala, and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt for the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial in Washington, DC. In a quick read, they document the step-by-step process from Estern’s design studio in New York to the foundry where it was molded and cast, then to its final destination in the 7.5-acre memorial on the Tidal Basin. See Smook’s online gallery here to see some of the photos in the book.
